New details have emerged following recent offensives between Khaganate Restoration Front (KRF) and People’s Liberation Army (PLA) forces in Mongolia, confirming that Orion units were operating within the region at the time of the engagement.
Heavy fighting broke out across mineral-rich zones earlier this week as KRF infantry elements engaged advancing Chinese armoured formations. The confrontation marked a sharp escalation in the struggle for control over newly discovered underground resources.
Amid the fighting, Orion forces were reportedly caught between both advancing fronts.
Multiple sources confirm that Corporate air assets were deployed shortly after contact, delivering precise strikes against large infantry elements and armoured assets. The strikes created a temporary gap in the fighting, allowing Orion personnel to withdraw from the area.
Corporate has not disclosed the purpose of its presence in Mongolia.
No official statement has been issued detailing the objective of the operation, and Orion representatives have declined to comment beyond acknowledging “limited activity within the region.”
Analysts suggest Orion’s involvement was likely tied to the rapidly shifting strategic environment, though the exact nature of its operations remains unclear.
Neither KRF nor PLA leadership has formally addressed Orion’s intervention.
The wider situation in Mongolia continues to deteriorate. Control over key areas remains contested, with all factions seeking to secure access to the mineral deposits now believed to lie beneath large portions of the country.
Local resistance to foreign involvement remains high, further complicating efforts by external actors to establish a stable presence.
For now, Orion’s role in the conflict appears limited.
