Operational context
Situation
Following the conclusion of Operation White Veil, ORION gained a foothold in the greater Alaskan region and improved access to both American and Russian territory. Corporate has since authorised an espionage campaign intended to disrupt American interests in the Middle East and apply pressure on the United States.
Syria has become a significant American interest, although the full nature of that involvement remains unclear. ORION will establish a base of operations on the mainland and dismantle American influence in the region. The reformed Syrian Government controls most of the area, while ISIS still occupies several sectors. American forces are not operating openly, making identification and plausible deniability essential.
Williams has gone rogue. ORION struck his command centre and disabled local air defences, but American forces extracted him. MOB Meridian was retaken with significant damage and four active fronts now threaten the operation.
