Over the past several weeks, the security situation throughout the Kharzan Region has deteriorated significantly. Once a remote and largely overlooked territory, Kharzan has become increasingly unstable following the collapse of local authority, allowing numerous insurgent groups to establish control across the region.

In response, the United Nations has approved its first major humanitarian deployment in nearly a decade, dispatching aid convoys and assessment teams to determine whether large-scale international relief operations can once again be conducted following the Fall of Europe. Orion International has been contracted to provide logistical support, transport, and security for the mission.

At approximately 0400 hours, Orion logistics convoy Echo-3 departed MOB Lancer carrying communications equipment, replacement parts, humanitarian supplies, and several classified Orion components intended for forward operating elements throughout the northern corridor. Approximately two hours later, all communication with the convoy ceased.

Echo-3's final transmission originated from northern Kharzan before contact was abruptly lost. Due to increasing insurgent activity, reconnaissance assets have been unable to determine the convoy's fate. Command believes the convoy was likely ambushed while en route to its destination. The identities, capabilities, and objectives of the insurgent groups operating in northern Kharzan remain largely unknown. Recovering Echo-3, its personnel, and its cargo is now Orion's highest operational priority within the region.
